TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up
The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
This is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
